
Peter Coville is a teacher, tour guide, freelance writer and activist. He was born in Manchester in 1967. He gained 1st Class Honours in PPE at UEA Norwich, a Masters in Political Science from Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, and an MPhil Philosophy at Corpus Christi College Cambridge. He has taught English as a Foreign Language and worked as an A level Philosophy teacher. He was active in the alter-globalization movement in Paris with ATTAC France from 2000, and joined Greenpeace on returning to the UK in 2007. He played an active role in the Occupy protest in London from 2011, co-founding the Occupy London Energy, Equity and Environment Working Group (EEE). He was a member of the Steering Group of the Campaign against Climate Change from 2012-2015, and has published articles in the Occupied Times of London and Open Democracy. He is the author of Krisis: a Manifesto for the Future, and is currently working on a book provisionally entitled: “What Really Matters Now: Seven Values for the 21st Century”. Peter works part time as a tour guide in Lisbon, where he lives with his partner Andreia, and son Leo (5).
